Okay, I can't hold it anymore, I have to say it.

I LOVE THIS COMIC SO MUCH! :love:
You are one of the few authors that I truly adore and whose comic I love this much, really.
I can't believe how well you're intertwining the plotline and how well you're depicting all the character's emotions.
When I'm reading your comic, I feel like if I'm watching someone's autobiography, like something that really happened. I never had a single feeling of something forced in this comic, and that's rare. Most comics are full of the moments when the characters are behaving and acting differently then they should have, just to move the story the right way. This then breaks the feeling of real characters and real story in the reader. You don't do this. Everything is happening on it's own here, the story flows very smoothly in accordance with the characters, and when we summarize it, it's just like the characters were controling and writing the story, not you. The story is original and unpredictable, and the character's reactions always suprise me. These are the signs of a good story. Very well done :clap:
I also enjoy your style of drawing very much. Meaby it's not perfect, but it's yours, and you're still getting better and better in it :)

But back to the comic - I have to say I love Maisha. I really like that you decided to write a story from the point of view of the "bad one", and not the godly good ones, as many other authors do. Most authors create their main characters too perfect. They are inviolable, immortal, flawless, they are the best in everything, they are always right in every situation and they never, never make mistakes. And when I say mistakes, I mean human mistakes, that we all do and we all did at least once in our life. Mistakes that could hurt somebody, mistakes that were made based on selfish needs of the character, mistakes that would show the character in a different light. Most authors are afraid to do this, to make the main character a little bit selfish, a little bit combustible, or just little bit stupid or evil, because they're afraid they'll perpetuate the character's godly perfectionism, which is exactly what the whole story is based on. But these flaws actually just deepen your feelings towards the character. They make the character more real.
And that's exactly what you're doing very well.
Maisha was never perfect and she was never meant to be. She's just a normal human (lion) with feelings, with emotions and with needs. Anger is just an emotion, just like hapiness or sadness, and it's perfectly normal, human reaction on bad things. The problem is when the anger gets so bad that it blinds you, and then makes you do horrible things. Maisha was in very hard situation - everything that she had, everything that she believed in and she lived for was taken away in a matter of seconds. How else was she suppose to deal with it? She never had a family! Nobody ever told her 'I love you', nobody was taking care of her like parents do, nobody ever supported her or helped her when she needed it. She was all alone her whole life. And then, Nuru came. He was kind, he was supportive, he was willing and he paid attention to her a lot - something that Maisha never knew, but always wanted. It's not surprising she grew dependent on him. He became her only light in the darkness. And then, Imara came - love happened and Maisha was left alone again. Would you want to be alone, though? Nobody wants that. Most people still have somebody they can trust and who will still support them, but not Maisha. She didn't know that Nuru is not the only hapiness in her life, and how could she? She never had parents to tell her that. She never had parents who would teach her how to handle her emotions, and how to respect the others. The only thing she was left with was to fight for Nuru - so she did. It wasn't right, but it was her only way of defending herself. And when everything failed, she did the most horrible thing - she killed somebody. And though I'm not saying she doesn't deserve to be judged based on this doing, I refuse to believe that Maisha is a killer. She was forced to do this, she was forced by her own fear and anger. You can see she actually regrets it immediately, suddenly realizing what has she actually done. So, in my opinion, we can't really blame her for what she did, because she wasn't in state of mind to even know what she's doing...

And, oh, poor Kesar and their cub... they were both killed for Kesar's blind love for Maisha... he just wanted to make her happy. :(
Maisha has again lost everything she loved. But this time, it's worse. She really loved Kesar, and she really loved their cub - and now they're both gone. Forever gone. She didn't just run away, having the possibility to turn back and see them again, no. She lost them completely and she can do nothing about it, damned to live the rest of her life with the image of her dying mate and cub before her eyes... :(
And yes, I truly belive Maisha actually fell in love with Kesar after some time. It always takes a while to fall in love with somebody - like, really in love. I'm not talking about the love that Maisha felt for Nuru, no. That was just a silly crush, nothing more. But to Kesar, she created a special bond, seeing him in a completely different light then before when she got to know him. You can see here that she really, really loved him and cared for him after all... that's so sad... :(

Oh godness, this is much longer then I intended it to be... :'D I'm so sorry for such a long comment, but I really had to vent my thoughts on this :D And sorry for mistakes, english isn't my native language ^^;
Keep up the great work with this comic. :heart: :love:
